This weekend...

This weekend I debadged the blazer, as well as took off the chrome fender flares. That was really easy.

Now all that's left is the black/chrome pieces that run down the length of the doors. I started to take them out but noticed they have two holes popped into the metal. So I can't take them off without having holes in the body of the car everywhere.

So that makes me ask this question, what is the best way to paint the chrome pieces until I can get the bottom part rhino lined. I will probably wait until after I get my grill guard put on to worry about using bed liner on my truck.

Also, what are your takes on using the Pacer Performance Fender flares? Are the universal ones easy to cut to match the fenders?:icon_shrug:

Wouldn't hurt to try them out. Take pics if they work out.

Pacer flares AKA Flexi Flares - got em on my blazer & yes they're easy to bend to the fender shape. Just make sure you read the part of the instructions where they tell you to cut a relief in the back/truck side in order for it to bend in or away from itself. Mine are about 8 months old & haven't deformed or shifted at all.

Are they just stick on or do they use screws?

screws, if you have a concern about corrosion - get a small can of undercoating/bedliner & coat the rim of the fenderwell with it just before you install the flares... it'll seal out moisture
