Default What Is This

So I noticed this hanging down beneath my Blazer when I got home tonight. Didnt appear to have any impact on the operation of the vehicle, and I have no idea how long it's been hanging. Can anyone identify what it may be by the photos?

Looks like the vent tube to either the tranny or transfer case.

It appears to be hanging down just aft of the tranny. Are you talking like a vacuum tube because it doesn't appear to hollow. My eyes are kinda crappy up close and I cannot tell if the one end is a connector or some type of cable. If this is a vent tube, what impact does this have on the operation of the vehicle?

EDIT: Did some research, this looks to be the end that just clips onto the tranny and not actually connecting into anything. Is this correct?

Yes, keep it at a high point if you tend to go offroad or deep puddles.it is a vent tube, if it gets submerged under water, it will cause waterto get into either the transfer case or transmission... both are areas you do not want to get water mixed into...

Got it zip tied to the frame at the moment. Been sick for the past couple days and the temp is in single digits.
