After a 3 hour drive down to Dad's yesterday afternoon, I was greeted with a nice large puddle of antifreeze under the Blazer this morning... After fighting a leaking water pump less than a month ago, I walked out of Advance Auto $70 poorer today, I replaced BOTH heater hoses and the bypass hose and got rid of all the stupid spring clamps and installed screw clamps in their place today... getting tired of putting $20 jugs of Dex Cool in this damn thing... Hopefully I have all the leaks taken care of. I can't think of anything else that could be leaking at this point... If it's the lower intake gaskets (that I replaced about 3 years ago) I'm going to loose my $#!@...

I hate opening up the cooling system, it's always a messy job... But always fun to get a chance to work in anything with pops

Happy Father's Day to all the fathers out there!

Brought back memories... Dad was still around when I did my intake manifold gaskets. He came down in his little Tacoma pickup, hung out all day, and held the light while I worked. Afterward, we went for a drive to test it out, then grabbed some dinner and a beer. Fun times...

Happy Father's Day!

Installing the tire carrier today. Inside the house right now cooling down (it's freeking HOT out here in Florida today... and humid...), about to make a hardware store run for nuts, bolts, washers, and flat stock for reinforcement.

Decided on a new whole drill area that I haven't seen done yet. Took a hole saw to the bottom of the tail light opening, gives GREAT access to the lower two bolts.

She's on there! What a job though... More than I though it would be going into it. But I'm happy with it. Will look awesome when my new matching wheel shows up this week

Kept hearing something roll around every time I opened the drop gate. Opened it up to inspect and found a screwdriver. Good thing I'm not a surgeon. 😳

Currently contemplating on whether or not I should change the speakers in the front doors now or wait. I guess now, and then on the hunt for a new factory HU. Then I'm gonna through some sea foam in the tank and probably get some for the crankcase.
