Not a fan of it those rear mounts. We've got loads of them here as stock. I like to open the rear without having to first move the spare out of the way.

Having said that it does looks good - especially when covered in MUD

I need that rear tire carrier since I don't carry a spare tire. Also just a small update, turns out my radiator was cracked on both sides which caused the coolant to leak. I get my truck back yesterday and it's still leaking. It's going back today, looks like either they didn't tighten the lower hardline that is under the lower rad hose, or they over tightened it and cracked the radiator. Either way they are fixing it today.

Are we talking about having a new one put in or are they going to try to have the old one repaired? Take it from me, I worked at a radiator factory and buying a new one is just as cost efficient and MORE reliable than having a modern radiator repaired. Just hoping you get a good job done so your ride will be reliable again.

Quote: I must give credit where it is due. With that being said, Benedict1337 gave me the inspiration (and his blessings) to mount a rear spare tire carrier on my Blazer. So $25 and @3 hours of my day was spent doing just that. Thanks Benedict! Maybe tomorrow I will wash the mud off of it.

looks good! exept I think the spare wheel is ugly... I did a crappy job a painting mine luckily I had a cover... I guess I'll post pics of mine for those who haven't seen it.

A brand new radiator was installed yesterday since the old one was cracked on both sides and a new thermostat and rediator cap as well. The new leak last night turned out to be my trans fluid. It seems the wrong size fitting came with the new radiator so they removed the old fitting off the previous radiator and reinstalled it onto the new one. Per the mechanic no more leaks. We shall see when my wife brings it home.

People wanted to, but it was alway rumored that you needed to reinforce the side of the truck to attach the spare tire carrier.

I used plate metal and fender washers just for peace of mind, but i think it would have been alright with just fender washers. I wish I had taken in-process pics.
