ok, so i have the wheel spacers and fuel pump in now.

(pics coming soon).

Anyway, i have some knowledge to share.

Bosch fuel pump uses the stock or "Delphi" connector and of course all other aftermarkets use a diff connector that you have to splice in like i did.
then (in my infinite wisdom) toss the old factory connector.

so, yup you guessed it kiddies the cheapo pump comes with a connector and the high end Bosch doesn't.

so long story short i have till wait to monday to pick up a connector that nobody in my area has till then. and of course its 60 bucks from the parts store.
i am hoping to maybe score one at the yard on Monday a lot cheaper.
man this cheapo pump just keeps kicking my a$$ at every turn.

also installed my suburban hooks. <-- not as awesome as I had hoped, but should be extremely useful.

Just an observation, where's the OP hotrod413? Last he posted was Dec 18 2010. This is a HUGE thread.
I've done nothing to the blazer today, barely stuck my head outdoors except to let the dogs out or in lol.

nice hooks ABN, they do look a lot beefier, thats looks like 1/2" material to 3/4" material

yeah much beefier

i had to hog out the frame holes a bit (1/2" mounting hardware) and they are shorter (noticeably so) but should hold up to a hell of a lot since they mount into an anchor plate in addition to the frame rail.

also swapped out my u-bolts since my leaf spring was no longer centered on the D side...

this peg had slid OUT of it's notch

the "peg" is the top of the bolt that holds the spring pack together. the peg fits into the bottom on the spring perch where it sits on the axle. mine had slid out of it's home (probably due to hard sliding on iced asphalt) due to one of the nuts comming off of the outside u-bolt...

nothing some new larger dia u-bolts can't fix

rust bubble by drivers window popped today in the cold after 2 years (have one of those electronic rust thingys, put it in and the rust stopped spreading). So cleaned up the rust and re-painted the area.
