What to look out for?
 

I hope this is the right place to post this but here goes. I will be getting my first car soon and I really like the 2 door Blazers. I am going to talk to one of my relatives that has one for sale this weekend hopefully. It has steel wheels that are pretty rusty, a little bit of body rust but no rust thru that I know of, it has been sitting for about a year but before that it was a daily driver, he doesn't use it anymore because he got a newer car for better gas mileage for driving to work. It is from the 1988-1990 body style but I'm not exactly sure of the year. I'm not sure if it's 2WD or 4WD, not sure if it's a 2.8 or 4.3, how many miles are on it, etc. I saw it a couple weeks ago driving by his house and then I started thinking that it would be a good first car for me. When I go to look at it this weekend hopefully is there anything specific to look out for? I have worked on cars before I'm just wondering what problems they had with this year of the Blazer. Rattles in tail
broken seat handles
leaky engine gaskets (intake)
broken/leaky radiator

Thanks! I'll definitely look out for that stuff, he said last year that he was going to scrap it so I'm sure I could get it dirt cheap.:)

Also balljoints, front end(tierods,pitman arm, idler, etc), and if its 4x4 make sure it works.
