I would just become her boyfriend, I mean, you said 1000, or BF.

But honestly, in the shape it is, the miles, that it needs a head gasket, I would find a different one.

i was thanking about 300, i can put the head gasket set on, it is in a better condition mine is in,

Yeah it looks pretty beat up! I wouldn't pay more than a couple hundred myself.

Depends if she ran it with a bad head gasket it could have bottom end damage. What did the oil look like?

I would give her a few hundred thats about it... Best to part it out. ME personally I wouldn't buy any thing with out looking through it good.

i am going to look it over this weekend, my dad does body work, so the door is a easy fix,

she says she parked it wean it stared burning antifreeze,

abig84 12-13-2012 07:06 PM

maybe you can get lucky and its just a intake, i bought a 98 bravada where the intake was so bad the antifreeze and oil went into the cylinders and filled them causing it to hydro lock basically, i only paid 600 for that thing. id pay scrap value probably for that truck

Just become her boyfriend & she will give it to you, plus the benefits. Your good to go.

She s married and not my type, from a mechanical stand point, I was thinking about doing a engine swap from my 01 2x4, and rebuilding this one

I'd run from that one ... unless your a glutton for punishment. Just my .02.

There's a billion of these things out there - just a matter of finding a good one for the right price. Trust me - it'll save you lots of headaches.

I bought this '00 Jimmy off eBay in '08. Looked FLAWLESS. Key word: LOOKED. Was the biggest lemon I've ever owned in history. I threw in the towel and parted it out in '10. The engine is in my '89 S10 Blazer, and the rest is all over the country. The remaining hulk is taking up driveway space ...

With electronics, you just don't know what your getting until you drive it a few months.
