Whats ya brushguard?

Ohhh..that makes sense Jason. Thanks for the clarification. I just assumed they mounted on the bottom only, but I like the idea of having the dual mounting points.

Yep, Like Jason said, There are 2 additional small mounting brackets that attach to the top of the bumper. I have had mine installed for over a year and it I have never needed to tighten the bolts or seen it shake. If you want, I can take a picture of the brackets and where the brush guard attaches underneath (if I can find them under the 20 inches of snow outside). The only complaint I would have with the Hunter Guard was the instructions that came with it were sparse to say the least.

that would be great.
i need to fab some for the top of mine (like Curtis, brand = ), 'cause if i need to use it, i sure as hell don't want it folding back on my truck. unlike the one that was on my first Blazer.............

so the tow hooks are still usable. great idea.

I got a used Manik a few weeks ago off craigslist in Lincoln, IL for $40!!! Had to repaint it, but good deal. Just put it on today. Looks great!

Mine is also a 4 point mount.
PROS: mounts to the outside of the frame so hooks stay in place
CONS: has a plate that goes inside the bumper so I have to drill out 2 holes in the bumper face.
all in all, i think it's a fair trade.

That ebay link is the cheapest I have found... so after talking to the fiancee this morning, and hearing that she saw a blazer with a brush guard and thought it looked good, I pulled the trigger so FAST
