why a k5??? noob help

Alright, so I'm having a difficult predicament:/... I bought a 4runner yo make it into a crawler, then one dday I'm on YouTube and a k5 crawler pops up and I got hooked. Love the body love the versatility of the rear and I owned one about 3 yyears ago. (Engine blew up..454bbc)

I started doing research last night and I can't find anything useful for off road parts... So my question where do you get the parts? I'm worried unless it's fully built up for crawling that I will crack the transfer case. I say this because I had a 91 Chevy 1500, sat on military 37s with a 6 in. Block and 4 in. Body lift... Went Wheeling a few times and flexed it out and literally broke the tcase in half. I'm worried the length and weight are to great to do any sort of wheeling with a k5 stock or with out any decent upgrade.

My plan is to build a nasty recovery vehicle/daily driven crawler

If anyone could shed some light on this that would be amazing:)

Like a list of pros and cons would even work.

There is TONS of stuff for K5 blazers... We dont really have many guys here that have them (Swartlkk is our resident K5 guy) but if you look over at www dot fullsizechevy dot com they have alot of guys there that own them.

if you want more heavy duty try to find a older k30. manual transmission with a cast iron np205 transfercase and 1 ton axles. they also have a thicker frame
