is that the LED bar under the tail gate?

RE: WOO HOO!

Yeah, Im kinda pissed though b/c it goes on w/ 3M tape, and I wasnt thinking about it not sticking in this cold, so Im gonna wait until the weekend when its supposed to warm up to stick it on. It looks really good, I wired it up but no sticky. AND in the process of lights being on and such, my battery ran low and it almost didnt start, so I gave it some gas pretty hard, and now my speedo is stuck on 100...[sm=headbang.gif]

RE: WOO HOO!

There aint any holes for you to use screws to attatch it to the rear of your blaze???

WhiteTie BlackJacket 01-03-2008 08:13 PM

RE: WOO HOO!

There are, but I would have to drill pilot holes for them and get longer screws. The screws with it just hold a plastic plate for the tape. Not real sure why they didnt just put it on the back of it but oh well.
And its cold, and I got a football game to watch lol.

Take the screws out, that hold the tab on where the tape is applied, then get some fatter screws, & using the existing holes, screw it to the plastic part of the bumper.

That's what I did, no way was I gonna trust using the tape.

RE: WOO HOO!

Plugs into your trailer plug.

blznlowxtreme 01-06-2008 12:33 PM

RE: WOO HOO!

that is one item i just haven't ever been interested in, are you guys doing it for a looks think or functional thing? i see how it can get you notice more at night, but not really seeing andthing on the looks factor. but everybody has their opinion. im not trying to bash your thread at all.

Dabber 01-07-2008 10:21 AM

RE: WOO HOO!

Verno......If it just plugs into the trailer plug, what happens if down the road you get a hitch?? Can you just slice into the wires and use the light for the trailer at the same time and not "overload"

WhiteTie BlackJacket 01-07-2008 10:56 AM

RE: WOO HOO!

I thought about that too Dabber, and I wouldnt see where splicing into it would hurt it any, but if youre pulling a trailer no one will see it anyways, so just unplug it.

EDIT
Sorry no pics yet, my sister friggin dropped my camera in the driveway RIGHT before I was gonnatake them...well shoot for tonight

I would just unplug it, while pulling a trailer, then plug the trailer in, because no one will see it anyway, if your pulling a trailer.

I have a hitch, & that's my plan.

Btw, the seperate white wire splices into the solid lime-green wire for your backup lights.

RE: WOO HOO!

Yeah I hit up google and found that, directions said to wire it to the taillight...I knew one of the 2 left over wires had to be reverse. Should have pics of mine up tonight...on the way to exchange my camera

drperry 01-07-2008 04:16 PM

RE: WOO HOO!

Splicing into the trailer wiring is a lot easier than trying to get to the tail lights, lol.

I was skeptical how they would turn out, but I shouldn't have. They look awsome.

RE: WOO HOO!

It looks great at night, but its not too noticable during the day was the only thing I was disapointed about. I got mine off ebay for 75 including shipping.

Looks good, I have been wanting to get one as well but the one I want costs big bucks!!!

RE: WOO HOO!

That looks friggin sweet I want one. Here comes a stupid question: I dont have a hitch on my Blazer, is there a factory trailer plug that Im not seeing?

WhiteTie BlackJacket 01-08-2008 02:01 PM

RE: WOO HOO!

No, but the wires are there, probably tucked up in the bumper. Theyre all taped together, 10 bucks for a plug at Advance

i didnt know they lit up w/ the reverse lights too. that could be very useful, definately if you have really dark windows

Part of the reason I added my reverse lights...

It's almost like looking through a non-tinted window :D

Im sure your actual lights do a lot better, I dont thikn this does too much for it along the lines of seeing, it just looks pretty BA haha
