1991 4WD issues
 

I own a 1991 s-10 blazer and my 4wd worked until recently. It will not engage. I tore apart the boot and console to discover that the electronic "doo-hicky" ( a technical term ill have you know) was unattached. So I thought that this may be the problem. So after reattaching the aforementioned doo-hicky the 4wd still is not working. I have also done the electric reset and it still does not work. Any ideas?

Maybe it's the vacuum whatchamacallit under the hood.
( another informative technical term). for the front axle actuator.


I just wonder if the transfer case is in 4wd but the front axles are not engaging. If you were to put the truck on a hoist or 4 jack stands and (with all the wheels off the ground) see if the front drive shaft is pushing the front diff, but the axles are not turning.......know what I mean?
