1995
I believe that the '95 uses the same engine as the '94 and older blazers uses, the CPI vortec. Also, 1995 was the first year for the 4L60E although it still had a 2 piece case consisting of the main case and the tail-housing (or transfercase adapter in 4x4 models) while '96+ used a 3 piece case (bellhousing, case, tail-housing/transfer case adapter). Internals of the transmission were the same (minor changes/upgrades to components aside).
'95 was also a transitional year for the PCM. '94-prior used an OBD1 computer and '96+ used an OBD2 computer. In '95, the computer was a mix of the two and called something like OBD1.5. It was a 1 year thing (thank GOD)...
As a result of all of these differences, the '95 will probably never have the aftermarket that the '96+ trucks have.
