1995 blazer won't start
My 1995 blazer won't start it all started last week if I left it set a while it would start right up then if I shut it off if it would take a while to start then the other night it just refused to start I put a little gas down the throttle body it started up finally and ran and idled just fine got it home shut it off then restated it and it started right back up now I can't get it to start at all I think it is the fuel pump it does have 152,000 miles on it. Just thought I would see what you guys think I read it frequently and you guys answer most of my questions without having to ask.

The best way to confirm a failed fuel pump si to install a fuel pump pressure tester and do a proper test.

RE: 1995 blazer won't start
If it runs fine, I would suspect that it is not the pump. More often than not, it is a leak somewhere in the system that bleeds off the pressure. Try turning the key to the run position for at least 15 seconds before attempting to start it. This will allow the fuel pump to pressurize the system.
If that works, then you'll need to find what is bleeding the pressure off. If you have no external leaks, it could be a faulty injector, a failing FPR (fuel pressure regulator) or a faulty check valve in the pump. |
