Default 96' Blazer (4.3 X)Fuel Injection Assembly Tip

For those of you out there who own a 96' Blazer with the 4.3 "X" engine...I struck gold. Apparently, it's a common problem for the spider to leak into the intake...and the replacement parts are near a grand. However, the "California Emmissions" version of the same kit only costs around $300 (you'd think it would be more). It looks different, but it bolts right up, and performs like a champ...and it IS specifically designed for that engine. You can call parts places all day, but very few people even know to ask for this version...which is obviously much more cost effective. It saved me $700 bucks, and runs better than I can recall my engine ever running.

Default RE: 96' Blazer (4.3 X)Fuel Injection Assembly Tip

I don't know where you are getting your price quotes from, but there are quite a few sites on the internet that sell the SCFI injection spyder for $200-300 and it's not the cali emissions model of it... Which really, when you get right down to it probably isn't any different.

As far as the difference between the Vin X & Vin W 4.3L engines... Maybe you Vin X guys are just unlucky and your injection spyder has minor differences and what you are buying for $300 is the Vin W spyder...
