Battery Light...

I was out driving today and no lights on my dash were shown. However on my way back home I saw the battery light was light. I am not sure why this is light but I drought it home, shut it off. Gave it a few minutes and restarted it and the light still was lit. What could it be?

RE: Battery Light...

What was the voltage level at? How old is the battery? Without that info, i'd say its just a worn out battery.

take your truck to an auto parts store and have them check your alternator. also have them check your battery while your there. than you will have a better idea of where to start from.......

RE: Battery Light...

Its odd because when I bought the blazer they did a full tune up with a brand new battery. Its at 11.5 voltes right now.

Volts Spec:
Min: 9
Med: 14
Max: 19
Mine is using 11.5

When it's running is it still only at 11.5volts? If so, then something is amiss with your alternator. I would also recommend that you have it and your battery tested.
