Hey folks i was wondering if anybody knows what a good trick or remedy to tighten a distrubtor hold down. Heres my prob im worken on a 66 chevy with a 327 and i for the life of me i caint get the distrutorr to tighten up. I bought another hold down and a distrubtor wrech and tighten it up and the distrubtor still moves. I know this is a blazer forum and i down drive a 04 blazer extream but this a project of mine and i know people here are very nice in solving problems. Thanks

I know some people use a Gasket, or 'double gasket' I dont think they have a problem with that cause the rotor doesnt move to far down.

I don't know why you have a problem. Is the bolt to long? Maybe the bolt is bottoming out before the hold down clamp is tight.

Yeah, I was going to ask about the gasket as well as the bolt... Looks like these kind gentlemen have it covered already.
