Door handle broken
My passenger side door handle is weird, you need to pull down on the left side, then lift up to open it. My brother had the same problem in his 94, and my friend had this problem in his 92. Anyone else have this somwhat comon problem? Any ideas on how to fix it? Can't be too expensive. Thanks.

I'm guessing that this is the outer door handle on your '88.
It sounds like you need to replace it. It's fairly easy, just remove the door panel, remove the linkage, remove the screws that hold the hande in, remove the lock cylinder retainer clip and reverse the procedure to install.
