RE: door trouble

It sounds like maybe you had a lock rod pop off. Remove the phillips head screw from the bezel around your inside door handle and pull the front of the bezel out away from the door, then pull forward and out to release the back of the bezel. Then pull upward on the front of your power window switch plate to release the retainer and pull forward on the switch plate to release the rear of it and disconnect the electrical connectors(this is assuming that you have power windows). Then remove the 2-7mm screws that go in by your inside door pull handle (look up from the ground to see the access holes for these screws). Then start at the front lower edge of the door panel and pull out on the panel to release all of the retainers. Once you get the door panel off, remove the water shield and take a close look at both ends of the lock rods. If they are in-tact then you will probably need a new latch assembly.
