Default What are the best spark plugs?

I have heard a lot of people say that the Delco's are the best plugs for a 4.3. Has anybody used NGK Iridium or Denso Iridium plugs? From my experience with Mazdas, NGK were always the best, and I have seen them for the 4.3. Should I replace mine with Delcos or try the Iridium?

Thanks in advance

In my opinion, the AC Delcos are the best for our engines. They are designed secifically for em. What ever you get, make sure it is the same heat range, and the correct gap. Some of those fancy smancy plugs are nothing more then gimics.

Thats what I was wondering, I unfortunately fell for the Bosch +2's when I was in high school a few years back, and now I'm planning on changing them sometime this month. I havent heard much about the Denso Iridium's.

I haven't heard much of anything about the new iridium plugs, which for me is enough to stay away from them. Well, that and the price...

The best plugs for this engine would be pretty much any double platinum plug. NGK makes some damn good plugs. In fact, that's what I run in my Bonneville (NGK TR55 - 1 heat range colder). The 4.3L vortec is designed to use a double platinum plug. The combustion temps support the auto-cleaning nature of the platinum. For the longest plug life, use any reputable(sp?) double platinum plug.

*EDIT* - I'd also like to add that I don't like anything made by Bosch that is made for any GM engine application (esp. O2 sensors and plugs).

Ok, thanks for the info. NGK's are amazing, but I never heard anything about them in a 4.3. Ill probably try them then. I had never used Bosch plugs before, we always used NGK when I was growing up, my dad uses them in the RX-7, Miata, and his racecar. Ill post up how they are in the 4.3 when I put them in.
