Does anyone know the exact location?? A pic or diagram would help

 

HI! I have the same year tahoe lt, 4 dr., 4x4. It's on the fire wall on driver's side. When you open hood you will see there is 2 little square black boxes. I think the one on outside nearest fender is the one you are looking for.
