HELP FUEL PUMP ASAP

Need help. Fuel pump keeps kicking off the sending line to the motor. Whenever I give it gas. It blew it right off when I test drove it. Reattached it. then test drove it and it blew clean off and the motor cut out. Any ideas?[:@]

I am going to ask the stupid question where is the line coming apart in the engine bay or back at the tank???

I don't understand.
The fuel pressure line disconnects? at what location? at a connector?

disconnecting back at the tank. as you look at the pump it is the line closest to the engine.

Damn, I just wrote a long response and found I couldn't send 'cause I was logged out.

OK, so can you use a mirror to see if one or both sides of the connector are damaged. there should be an "O" ring in the female side which is easier to put together if lubricated with dielectric grease.
It's possible that one of the tabs is broken off the male side or one of the slots is broken on the female side.

I would buy a new clip connector (on the male side). They are fairly cheap from the dealer and should even be available from your favorite autoparts store. Dealer should have them in stock however.

reconnected everything. wasn't sure where exactly the "o" ring went but I put everything back together and started and gave it gas and it worked fine. And took it for a quick spin and everything worked out good. I'm guessing the clip had worn out and just couldn't handle the pressure.
