intermittent engine light

ok, i have a 89 full size blazer w/a 350 TBI. at engine speeds at or over 50 mph my light comes on. when i check the codes it comes up 32 and 42. its relates to the map sensor and module not getting a signal. it doesn't idle on its own w/o pressing on the gas when its cold. thing is it runs great. tows 6-7 k fine. i've replaced the egr and solenoid but still having problems. any ideas or common problems with this engine like this? TIA!

I believe a common problem is for the throttle body base gasket to blow out. It's a cheap fix to replace the base gasket and it only takes about 1/2 hour.

An easy way to check your throttle body base gasket is to spray carb cleaner at the base and see if it is sucking it in. I changed mine on an 88 that I had. Hardest part is being very careful with fuel inlet lines. Otherwise was a snap.
