Hi to all, and what a great site! Just purchased a 2001 Chevy Blazer, 4 dr, 4x4, 70000 miles. Have been having some issue with the "service engine soon" light. After looking in your forum it would seem that either tightening up the gas cap or replacing is the main solution. Would you all agree this is the most possible culprit?

in Ca. you should have a checker auto or Kragen auto near, They should have a code reader that you may be able to use for free to pull the code and find out what the fix may be. I know they rent the tool for 199.99. when you return it you get full refund. hope this helps.

welcome to the site...like other said....post ur questions in the General Tech section and they will probably be answered very quickly. The service engine soon light could be any number of things....best thought would find someone with a code reader and hook it up to ur truck
