Default RE: Rear Differential Lube

Specifically, the rear axle (with the G80 RPO) is a locking/limited-slip design.
Rear Drive Axle-Locking/Limited Slip Rear Axle

The locking differential allows for normal differential function until one wheel spins. The locking differential incorporates multi-disc clutch packs and a speed sensitive engagement mechanism which locks both wheels together if either wheel should spin excessively during slow vehicle operation.
Technically speaking, the G80 diff is a Gov-Loc diff. The stock diffs in the blazers DO NOT require a friction modifier. I have read this in several manuals and resources I have plus numerous posts from other S-series forums online.
