07 shifter button has no resistance
The button on my shifter has no resistance and i can't get my key out of the ignition. It will shift through all the gears and drives fine but it shifts without having to press the button and it won't let me turn the car all the way off. So i have to disconnect my battery and leave my key in the ignition. Pease help.

This sucks, but of all of the times I have seen this come up, it is a fault within the shifter assembly itself that causes it. The GMT360/370 trucks have their share of ignition switch issues as well, but it is likely that the lever lock button being seized and not activating the park/neutral switch to allow the key to be removed.
Few have had luck removing the assembly and lubricating the moving parts with a bit of disassembly of the shifter itself involved. If you screw something up even more though, the assembly is not cheap and my recommendations would be to try to pull one from a pick-n-pull yard if you have one near you or go with one off eBay (I found at least one from an '07 that was under $100).

Shifter assembly diagram
is there a schematic of the shift lever assmbly whether online or somewhere else? Experiencing same problem with 07 trailblzr.
I want to disassemble clean and reinstall. I have removed console checked Shift Interlock Solenoid. It works when removed away from shift lever.
