rear access open warning light always on
I have a 2002 Trailblazer. When the rear window is opened the warning light on the dashboard comes on and doesn't go off. This has happened a few times in the past, but by opening and closing the rear window many times I have gotten the message to go off. I am trying everyday to open and close the rear glass window, and I hear the lock clicking, but the message on the dashboard will not go off. It also affects the interior lights which don't come on anymore when the doors are opened and closed. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Sounds like the liftglass ajar switch is malfunctioning. You will need to remove the liftgate trim to gain access to the switch. The pictures below show you the location of the switch. The green that can be seen behind the latch mechanism is the end of the switch itself. As the latch rotates closed, the switch opens into a slot in the latch, opening the circuit. It is possible that something in the plastic switch housing has broken that can be simply glued back together.
Anyway, here's the pictures:
