2 1/4" inlet/outlet muffler?

Muffler on my 96 4wd 4 door has quit, ihave got a brandnew 2 1/4" in/outwalker muffler left ower from my previousjeep 5.2 mpfi .

if i use it on my 4.3 engine, does it hurts the milage or performance ?

wont hurt. stock is 2" and max youd ever really need is 2 1/2"

on my ls it was 2 1/2 and i actually got a raise in gas mileage.
