2000 4.3 exhaust

I have a 2000 chevy blazer LS 4.3. I just got the stock muffler replaced with a glasspack. It sounds pretty good, but a little quieter than what I want/expected. I know glasspacks get louder as they are broken in, so I'm trying to decide if I should leave it the way it is, or replace the tip with some wider piping. Any suggestions/previous similar experiences?

i would leave it for a lil while, mine got louder once the computer finally tuned etc, i know bc i read into the exhaust and the shop told me, but its your truck, i just have a flowmaster super 40, which isn't loud enough imo, but ive never heard a glasspack, but i know they are loud, but it should get better

They get real loud without that cat ..... but you didn't hear that from me ....:icon_wink:

If you want loud, get a cam lol. Couple that with a single chamber muffler and 2 1/2 inch piping and it's street legal loud. I wouldn't dare go without a muffler or cat because the exhaust just gets obnoxious imo.

Thanks guys. I don't have tons of money to spend on this. I'll probably leave it for now, and maybe do something with the piping after the muffler.

It will get louder (as mine has) the more you drive it, the more it basically turns into a straight pipe.
