6.2 diesel Exhaust

I'm sure this is on here somewhere but 100% sure on how to find it, so i figured i would just make another post too see if i could get some ideas. What would be the best exhaust to put on my 1984 CUCV? Do they make a Y pipe for the 6.2 or should i just leave the exhaust coming out both sides behind the tires? Either way what is the best mufflers to use and how big of exhaust pipe should i use?

I'm not too familiar with diesel engines and what exhaust they need, especially n/a diesel engines. If no one here can answer your question then I suggest try the full size Chevy forum and post in the diesel section, tons of guys there who know their stuff.

Thanks, I might have to try that. I've talk to a guy from Gibson Exhaust, and he said they have universal mufflers that i can use, i just need to measure the pipe to make sure i get the right size.

Gibson from what i've seen is really expensive, i'd check Summit Racing since there's a very wide selection of mufflers to choose from, or you may choose to run no muffler, which is what I run on turbo diesels, I love the sound of a 7.3 Powerstroke Turbo with no muffler.

what size pipe you ran?

The 6.2 I believe is not turbocharged, so therefore it would not benefit you to run large open pipes like a turbo diesel. You could probably run a single 3" exhaust with a regular performance muffler like Magnaflow or Hooker and it'd be fine.
