92 fullsize 5.7 header back exhaust help!!!

Just ordered headers and can't find any do it yourself kits that say they will work for the 1992 4x4. Suggestions? Pipe size recommendations? Oh and by the way not going to be running cats so o2 location suggestions ( there is a bung in the header...is this sufficient)? Not worried about passing emissions

I would find a shop and have them run pipes for you, i'd go 2.25" for duals and 3" for single. As far as O2 sensor the one in the headers should be enough, there isn't a second sensor on OBD1 trucks.

I'm planning to put duals on my 94 full size with dual cats. From my investigation, I found hooker headers from jegs and 2.25 pipes with small cats and cherry bombs. It may be pieced together. Once I gather up all the parts and assemble them I'll post how it went. Good luck with your search.

don't bother with the hooker...i ordered and still had to have custom pipes bent...doesn't fit right under the truck

If you get anything besides shorties you'll need pipes custom made, stock manifolds are shorty header length so shorties are made to bolt up to the stock y-pipe or aftermarket y-pipe, but mid and full length require custom made pipes but the gains are worth it.

That is true. I will be planning on getting the driver side exhaust pipe, header to cat fabricated, whether via bend or elbows with a straight pipe between them. Due to the length difference between the stock manifold and the headers, I'm not sure yet whether they'll be 90's or 45's. All I know is I want true duals all the way back and am willing to work to make that happen. Both pipes will run under the passenger side and hopefully over the rear and out the back. I'm going with 2.5" pipes.

Has anyone dealt with the power steering pump mount I am getting frustrated trying to figure out if there is a bracket for it which with all of my research I don't think that there is, is there any thread on here that walks you though what someone else has done? I have an 86 K5 and it has been hell on wheels for me since the begining but, I have slowly worked through it all.

If you could help it would highly be apreciated.

My 94' has Hooker's on it with a set of Flow Masters. No need for cats where I live but I did run into the 02 sensor issue. The Hooker's have an 02 bung but with my set up there's not enough back pressure for the 02 sensor to work. The standard trick won't work so a brass elbow was used to make the 02 sensor work. She runs like a champ now.
