99 4wd Jimmy true duals?

Hi, I just wanted to see if I could get any help about getting custom true duals on my 99 4wd 4dr SLE Jimmy with a 4.3. I already know what mufflers i'm gonna get, flowmaster super 44s, but does anyone know a good cat to go with em? And should i keep the 2.25 size or get bigger piping while i'm at it? And how much does it usually cost for custom true duals? i know its gonna be pretty expensive, but i'd just like a estimate for what ill be lookin at. Thanks, and any advise or suggestions will be appreciated.

Also, I'm looking for that real aggressive sound and look, but while keeping the same performance.

from what ive read on here (its a common question) running true duels does not change the sound or performance like at all. what alotta guy have done is just Y it off. i cant remember where they are doing that if its before or after the rear axle.

Yeah, but i'm gonna have to get custom piping any way so i figured i'd just go ahead and get the real deal. Even if it doesn't have much of a sound differnce.

If you are getting a custom exhaust the biggest benefit will come from getting rid of the stock Y-pipe. Hopefully the shop you take it to will be able to make a lot less bends than OEM.

When I had my 2.5" exhaust made up for my 02' 2wd V8 S10 it was still pretty tight and that cost me $300 (not including Cats)

As far as size 2.25" should be more than enough for the 4.3.

Hope I helped out dont forget to let us know how it turns out

True duals are a waste of money on our motors. You might see some benefit from a motor producing more horsepower, but most of the people with the 4.3 either go single in single out or single in dual out (1 muffler either way). All true duals will do is negatively affect the vehicle by adding more weight (another muffler). Save your money and go with a 44 single in dual out and get a high flow cat. It'll sound good, no doubt.
