All new exhaust from the cat and back, have I missed anything?
My Blazer tripped the service engine light. I thought it might have misfired. I bought an odb2 Bluetooth dongle, downloaded Torque onto my phone, and got a P0147 code. I knew the exhaust had been ****, and was aiming to replace it soon. Now's a good time I guess. It sounds like **** at idle as it is. I have my factory manuals and plan on watching some videos tonight. Here is the list of parts that I am considering. Have I missed anything obvious or something small that would make the job easier?
https://i.imgur.com/2X9NKlm.jpg I have a little mechanic experience. Nothing underneath has been welded. It looks as if everything bolts on? Anyone have any tips from experience replacing exhaust systems. Looks pretty straightforward. Thanks for your time. |
the pipes never come off without a big hammer, and pb blaster. Cut the nuts off with a grinder,or saw. they arent going to turn off.

I agree on cutting the clamps off. as for the flange bolts They might have to be warmed up with a torch to come loose or the studs might snap.
