Header/Y-pipe?

Okay, I am not completely sure about this, so I was going to ask you all on the forum. Did Edelbrock discontinue their headers/y-pipe all in one kit? If so, does another company make a similar kit? I was just curious about all this. And on the lines of headers and y-pipes, I wouldn't even be sure if a kit like that would fit a body lifted blazer. I know if you do a 350 conversion and get one of the kits with the 4wd Patriot headers, they don't fit a body lifted blazer.

The general consensus is that headers are not worth the mony. The stock manifolds flow well up to about 300 hp. You can have a local muffler shop make you a larger y-pipe, say about 2.0" or 2.25".

Be warned, some shops will not do it, so you will likely pay for it. I talked to at least ten different shops until I found one that would/could make one for me. Expect for the shop to require the blazer while they make it, and that it will take at least a day depending on the shop and whether they are busy.

To answer your question about the Edelbrock exhaust stuff being discontinued. Yes. There was a pipe place in Oregon that still has the jigs to make mandrel bent y-pipes, but needs a test vehicle to help them rewrite the software for their machines. I forgot their name, and do not have the link here at work.
