HI All
First time poster with some questions.I have 383 stroker going into 1975 blazer 4x4 and need a set of long tube1/78 primarys with 3 or3 /.5 collecter.
Will this work or do i need shortys.Which brand fits the best, short or long.
This truck is manuel trans. Will 2inch headers fit.Plan on true duel exhaust all the way back to bumper.Would like to put on exhaust cutouts if possible.
I might run side pipes, any dos donts to this?
THANK YOU.:icon_playing:

1/78" primaries might be a bit small, might want to try 1 7/8", LOL

As far as cutouts, pay the money for the electric fancy ones. I've got a dump on my chevelle, and while it's cool and all, it gets tiresome crawling underneath and jacking with wingnuts.

1975 Blazer

Thank you for replying to my post.I really have a 1960 El Camino on the 75 Blazer 4x4 frame.Being 1960 titled no emissions &%<@.I have all the room in the world under the hood for engine but blazer frame dictates exhaust.Do you think i need x cross or H cross on 3inch pipe for 450hp.

I've always heard an H will give you better low end, and an X will do better on the top end. I think the differences are pretty negligible, but there are a ton of articles out there for X vs H. As long as you have a crossover of any sort, you're bound to be better off.

You gotta post pics of the 4x4 el camino!!!

H pipe ftw. go 2.25 pipe. for headers go longtube. better for low end unless you plan on revving 6k down the speedway.

chris015 Hpipe sounds good but what is ftw? How far back from headers should H be installed? How far from H for the Muffs.
Thanks to u and red.

ftw is "for the win" its that internet lingo talk stuff" lol.

h pipe should be put about in the center. the 2 pipes from manifold runs down to the h pipe. then mufflers will be a few feet later towards the rear then tails.
