Cold Air Intake New Chevy S-10 Pickup Oiled Chevrolet S10 2003 2002 2001 99 Car | eBay

Thank you, :icon_google:

Chevysrule5 11-22-2011 11:53 PM

i bought this and it actually is a great product. only thing i did was switch the filter that comes with it to a shorter K&N filter because with my body lift, it created some fitment issues. So the shorter filter will take care of it. Great kit for 65 bucks!!!

gatorboy44 11-23-2011 07:03 AM

Yeah it is basically a k&n setup minus the filter

brendan127 11-23-2011 07:08 PM

It adds HP and Torque at RPMs I barely EVER hit.

Scorpious 11-24-2011 02:40 PM

i just ordered this, seems like a good deal, cant wait to try it out,
all CAI and other mods will show hp and trq increase at MAX RPM's for the record..
ive had dozens of cars and products like intakes are all listed the same..

im mainly looking for fuel savings in this tank lmao

gatorboy44 11-25-2011 03:54 PM

Yeah I would've got it but I didn't find it until I already ordered a K&N drop in filter. So I hope it helps out everyone else.

Scorpious 12-03-2011 10:47 PM

I jut installed this..
Not bad for 65.00
The air temp hits the brake booster now... Not impressed but not majorly annoyed either with product.
Nice new sound to engine aswell

My kick ass eBay intake!! - S-10 Forum

I ordered mine on thursday

Scorpious 12-04-2011 01:48 AM

Be wary that switching over the AIT sensor is gonna be a bitch!! Use dish soap to help with the grommet. There's no instructions and the filter is a tad long. It's def an eBay intake lol.
It does fit but not easily
If u have any questions pm me.

Could you possibly throw up a picture of the install? I bought an eBay kit 2 years ago and have never been real happy with the fit and finish.

Alright great! Thanks

pj5454302 12-06-2011 11:00 PM

Well I have the intake in. Kinda lol. The I could not get the heat sheild to work, and the filter included is Waaaayyyyyy to long. Like about 5inches too long. SO I went and purchased a apecter universial filter.

And yes I know I have a dirty engine bay and wires everywhere.

It looks good. And I thought I had alot of wires in my engine bay. ;)

Scorpious 12-07-2011 07:23 AM

I was able to fit the Long filter without an issue.
The heat sheiks I had to bend one o the tabs( on the side with 2 you drill it to the frame and the side with one hole screws into the rubber grommit you mount the chrome intake too, I'll post pics soon of mine.

gatorboy44 12-07-2011 03:58 PM

I like it, looks good. Better than the throw together filter kits

USMC3782 12-10-2011 03:18 PM

just ordered one myself

rexmburns 01-10-2012 02:06 PM

Where have you guys ordered the Brute force copy intakes from and how much did you spend on them. I can only find them from a few places and they want like $25 for shipping which is rediculous. The cheapest I found was $85 shipped is that about right? I guess thats not horrible for the entire system I just figured if I can save a few dollars I might as well. Any help is appreciated!!

Just finished suicide hood!

I just finished suicide hood, looks awesome! A bit tricky to install by myself.

I spent less than $60 shipped off ebay for mine. Gives the truck a great sound and I'm up 1.5 mpg after 2 tanks. I went to the link posted in this thread.

Mine was snug for sure. I ended up popping heat shield I. Then I worked back from the filter. I couldn't get it to connect the other way. Also using a heat gun on the rubber connections made them pliable to move how I needed. I was not able to bolt the tube to the mounting point but it is not going anywhere.

rexmburns 01-12-2012 12:10 PM

Awesome!!! Thanks USMC3782 I had one of those special moments where no matter how hard I looked at that one I just felt like it wasn't the one you guys had. Guess I need some more sleep. I'll be ordering it as soon as I get my new debit card since someone decided to try and use my card to set up a Yahoo shopping account last night. Luckily the bank stopped it and notified me. Thanks again for the help and I'll be sure to post photos of the install in my build thread.

Here is where i got mine.

Also, it may have fell out but i did not have a grommet so I had to make one up. I didn't have time to run to the store and but one.

The hat for the throttle body is interesting to get on. I ended up removing the stock plastic retainer from the back and unscrewing the post it screwed on to. WHen you do the sleeves for the front 2 mounting points (they are either a 10 or 12mm, cant remember which. ) snug them down before you put the hat on. I recommend you keep a magnet ready for when you drop the screws (you will) then just snug it down and remember the rubber gasket for the tb.
