making flowmaster 40 louder

how can i make my flowmaster delta 40 louder

igot10pinitis 04-25-2009 10:04 PM

dump it right behind the muffler?

cr8390 04-25-2009 10:05 PM

by getting a better muffler or no muffler sry for the smart ass remark but i had 2 say it haha but i dont know if there is really anyway to make it much louder legally speaking. I have heard of a red neck trick a couple guys i no did which is to get the muffler really hot (by driving it alot) then shoot water up the tailpipe and rev the crap out of it. But i dont think it would work with flowmasters only because the trick is for mufflers with fiberglass in them. The water makes the hot fiber glass expand and break apart. But second i wouldnt take any risks by shooting water up my tailpipe to begin with granted it probably wont go into your motor but you never no.

My story is i got the flowmaster 40 on and i didnt like it because it was 2 low so i bought a super 44 and that is much louder and i love it. Heres a vid

I don't know whay you want louder.. I run a Flowmaster 40 and its plenty loud, and I can't think of any legal ways to do it other than going with something like a glass pack instead of the muffler you have

As a kid, I remember going to the carwash after installing new glasspacks and spraying them down with cold water to "break the glass". There is no way to make the Flowmaster louder unless you cut a hole in it. But I doubt that is the sound that you are going for... lol

i high flow cat will help a little

High flow cat will help with sound, but if you want a deeper throatier sound get rid of the blowmaster, and run a magnaflow muffler.

I have flowmaster but it just makes the right sound. But i want something a bit louder so I will be trying magnaflows.

I have yet to hear a magnflow setup anywhere near as loud as a flowmaster. Magnaflow has a very smooth and mellow sound and not nearly as loud and aggressive
