Question...need help

I have a 98 Blazer zr2 and i want to upgrade the exhaust to something a little louder and give it a nice lean cut sound. I debating on a set of duals or just keeping a single pipe. I wanna go from the catalyic converter back. Any siggestions on a good setup that will increase hp but will give me a nice mean sound as well....Thanks for you time

I'd keep it single, from what I hear it's not easy to do duals out the back on a 2 door. I'd keep it single 2.5" all the way to the bumper and I like the way a Thrush Welded muffler sounds on it, just like a Flowmaster 40 but less than half the price. That may be too quiet for you since it'll be out the back with the stock cats. You can also get a cheap glasspack and clamp it in place. If you like it then you're good, if not you're out $20.

i have a single exhaust on my 02 Cavalier with a v6 3400 in it... not the loudest with a flowmaster high flow cat, cherry bomb 18" resonator, and i can never remember the name of the high flow muffler but its all 2 1/4 piping - its hella clean cut sound tho and when i pull up you hear it and go... "that's not a rice pipe on there" "wtf how did he get that sound?" - very few people know i have a v6 under the hood of it when i pull up - quite the sleeper setup and it can be loud when i want it to be but otherwise its not a dirty sound or restrictive to get the sound out of it.

yes i realize this isn't remotely even the same platform of vehicle but the concept is the same for your question.
