Snorkel intake on a 96 blazer
ive been looking to put a snorkel intake on my 96 blazer. any ideas on where i can find one? or should i just put a k&n air filter through the hood?

You won't find an off the shelf one for a blazer anywhere but if you look around you will find a few people that have made some home brewed snorkels and a few that don't look to bad at all.

I have been thinking about making me a snorkel for mine, any ideas or specs out there on how to make one?

A few ideas exist in the realm of snorkel making for the blazers. Like Rex said there isn't a ready made aftermarket kit especially for blazers, but one option would be to goto the hardware store like Home Depot or Lowe's and get plumbing equipment. Connect abs piping together (3 inch pipe would work, pvc is also an acceptable material). Many people have a problem with cutting a huge hole in their fender, but it's the better way to go since we don't have a 2 fold hood like a jeep does. Another option is exhaust tubing. The last option I would say is fitting a kit made for a different vehicle. This will take a bit of creativity, but could possibly work. Something like this. You might also want a head for the snorkel. This

The only concern I would have with PVC pipe is the temp of the engine bay effecting the plastic and possibly melting it.

I have seen a couple pics of guys using Toyota pickup(88-92) snorkels with good results. The angle isn't quite right, but a heat gun and patience seems to make it look really good.
