Ive heard 4.3s that sound just like v8's. One i have seen is a flowmaster muffler but i dont know what kind? Cat back? Piping size?
I want dual straight exhausts out the back on the ends of the bumper with rolled chrome tips but i need to know what will give it the best sound.......... I know how debatable the exhaust is on these 4.3.........hit me with ideas! Piping size? Single in single out? Single in dual out? I want it to be a deep thick sound.....not loud pingy and obnoxious......my jimmy is not a jeep(just empties everyones pockets) |

2) Single in dual out 3) Either 40 series or super 44 4) A more aggressive cam might help as well |
Now ive heard smaller piping size on a 4.3 will keep down the sharp pinging noise and give it a richer tone? This true?

Super 44 man, you will not regret it.
|
Ive heard youtube videos but cannot make a decision due to low quality videos and cqnt hear the sound properly.
But i shall go with the majority and gatorboy44 and get me a super 44 exhaust. |
I've got a cherry bomb on my 4.3 and it sound pretty awesome....two of them straight off the headers has gotta sound even more awesome!
|
Glass packs arent my style.....plus i have to be obdII compliant......

I had the 44s on my f-150 before I sold it, sounded perfect. Just loud enough to make heads turn and make you look good at a red light. I plan on putting them on my jimmy soon. They have a deep strong sound.

I also have a friend who has them on his 91 s10 2.8 v6 and it sounds like a small block v8 at idle.
|
Thats EXACTLY what i want. Should i still use the smaller piping.size? 2 1/4?
