'05 Gmc Jimmy body lift.

Hey guys! I'm new to the forum and I know you're all Blazer folks, I had a question regarding my 2005 Jimmy. Since I can't seem to find what I'm looking for I thought you guys could shed some light on a few questions.

First of, I'm looking to start my lifting process by doing a 2" body lift. My question is, are there any major differences between an 05 Jimmy and an 05 Blazer? They seem identical to me.

Also, for someone new to the whole lift world and not too familiar with the process, what would be the best starting point to gain a little lift to fit some bigger rubber?

Thanks guys, I hope I posted this in the right section!

Posted in the correct section and I don't believe there are any major differences between the two trucks. Seems like a body lift is a good way to go for a little bit larger tire as well.

There's no difference between the Blazer and Jimmy of the same years. If a lift kit is designed for one, it will work on the other. The only differences are cosmetic. Like Thogert said, a body lift is a great place to start. It keeps all the driveline and steering components at factory spec but still allows you to use bigger tires.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. Truly appreciated.

Now, I know a body lift would be the best start, really I should have the more specific question: what kit would be the best recommended option bang for buck for a 2005 jimmy srs with 4x4.
