Got the interior divider wall to keep me and the family safe from flying objects. It is on rails bolted through the ceiling and can be slid up behind the front seats or stay behind the back.

Maybe not...I need to update the location. I am down SE off 74, but still work in downtown Indy daily.

About the same, not far though.

Painted the rest of the hood. Has new Rough Country rear shocks. Done typical maintenance and enjoyed the truck since the last update.
Swapped the stock headlight housings for some basic replacements due to the factory getting some oxidation internally. Not sure how, but they are smooth outside and a mess inside. I reused my VVME 35 watt 5000K HID lows and some cheap fake hid in the highs. Someone said to post my Scangauge mounting. I got a couple pics and it showcases the mpg I am getting. At 70 I run about 2000 rpm and after a dozen blocks of city driving and 10 miles of interstate at 70 I was looking at 17.4
https://blazerforum.com/forum/attach...ine=1433873728 https://blazerforum.com/forum/attach...ine=1433873728 I got off the interstate and jumped on a side road and saw the mog climb to 18.0 and hold pretty steady while doing 50 https://blazerforum.com/forum/attach...ine=1433873728 https://blazerforum.com/forum/attach...ine=1433873728 I like the position of the Scangauge for easy use and view without blocking any other gauges or what not. Definitely one of my favorite tools. |

The wife did it... https://blazerforum.com/forum/attach...ine=1433874061 https://blazerforum.com/forum/attach...ine=1433874061 Well it was an accident. I pulled grill to repaint it and left the hood unlatched yesterday morning. Wife hopped in it last night and about 45 mph...kaboom. luckily she handled it well. Got it stopped n then pulled into safe spot without further incident. Update: I got a new windshield installed and all is good. Have new used hinges for hood because it is slightly misaligned at rear corners, but the fiberglass held up amazingly well for actually piercing the glass. __________________________________________________ _________ This weekend I was playing on some backroads in the snow and dropped through an ice covered creek. It felt deep and took 4x4 to get out, but did not notice this until the next day. https://blazerforum.com/forum/attach...ine=1433874061 Ripped the exhaust off so it was deeper than i thought apparently. Gives me the motivation to get the magnaflow muffler and tips and such I have been holding off on installed. Probably wait til spring so the salt is gone though. Some new work on the rig. Picked up some new wheels n tires. 35s on 17s again, but Falken MT and American Outlaw wheels this time. Stripped off the roof rack and rear bumper swings for a re-do of configuration and powdercoating. Also played with one of the front grills and made it white for awhile. Need to pull off white strip on windshield and go back to regular tint ASAP as well. Added some projector headlights. Also put in some LED headlight bulbs...not impressed. Think I will do a better projector and go back to HID bulbs again. Also added new door speakers since it was down to one working occasionally. Also got a new single sub to take up less room in the rear. Did get a double din head unit but it is not installed yet. Swapped out the old Hooker exhaust for a Magnaflow and 3 inch dump. It was sorely needed. Also picked up a couple new jerry cans to build the rear swing around cause i want a shelf/dual can holder that I can use more often. Slapped in some new hubs and tie rod, but need to regrease the splined disco and do the CVs when I get a bit more time. Been awhile, so its about time for basic maintenance.
Before the strip Attachment 30561 Tires and wheels the wife actually picked out Attachment 30562 On the truck. Ride nice and seem like they do pretty good. Attachment 30563 Stripped down for the re-do Attachment 30564 Attachment 30565 The grill for something different, but its already about to change the more I look at it. Easy silly fun when you got 3 spares. Attachment 30566 Attachment 30567 |

Slapped on some new Bilstein 5125 rear shocks and am liking them so far.
Attachment 30547 Replaced this rusty crap Attachment 30548 Attachment 30549 With this stuff Attachment 30550 Attachment 30551 I will get a pic of it installed since I forgot, but the difference is amazing. As the exhaust was rotting I did not realize how loud it had become with basically a straight pip setup over the past year or so. With the simple Magnaflow and turndown it sounds nice and clean with much less inside noise. Almost silent to my ears. We cut the old mounting bolts and pulled the rust out. Used a new flange gasket and bolted up new stuff, but to fit right with the dump we shorted it a couple inches and welded it right to the muffler exit. The mount on the magnaflow was for an ext, so I had to chop the part that slid in the rubber hanger off and weld it right to where the dump was attached. Fit right is and is nice and solid. It now dumps a few inches before the rear axle. Attachment 30552 Attachment 30553 |

I really like the new rims on your TrailBlazer. They look awesome.
|
Thanks. I could not decide between a few and the wife said she liked the gunmetal w machined over the others with the black in them. I think they fit pretty well myself
|
Man, this is the meanest looking trail Blazer I've ever seen. Great job with it! Can't wait to see how the half doors turn out.
|
Hey dude! Whats up. I did not know you are a member here
|
Yep. It had been awhile, but came snooping around here for some data for my buddy doing a SAS on his s-blazer.
|
one heck of a build there. great job
|
Thanks. It has been a good truck and hopefully getting some love this week/weekend.
Got new LCA and ball joints and CV shafts and Passenger tie rods since the DR was done due to a trail breakage recently. Then an alignment and some touch up paint on bumpers and sliders. Maybe a bit of trail beating for the 4th. |
