3 extra inches on a stock ZR2

I am currently a broke college student so I'm looking to get as much as lift for as little as possiable. Right now I would like to add thee inches but I know that cranking the front 3 inches will most likely end in a disaters. So what about getting a front diff drop bracket. I know alot of kits come with it but can i purchese it online by itself? for the rear I would just do shackles or shakles+ add a leaf the front is my main concern.

I would leave it how it is, until you are not a broke college student. Just my 2 cents.

well i remember when i was a broke college kid, i always had money
for booze and drugs, so the old saying is,"you always have money for what you truly want" regardless of where you happen to be in life...
so lay off the ciggs, booze, and partying, and buy the lift shackles for the rear and tweek the torsion bars and be done with it

Im not super broke I do have a job while im in school and I do have a decent steady income during the summer which is when i will be doing this but my Blazer currently has 270000 miles on it so its basically just my college truck/ trail rig

question is why do you need the 3" of lift?
it will lead to you wanting bigger tires...then your talking some money.
i would do one of two things.
just do 1.5" tweak of the torsion bars and then add shackles in the rear.
or do a 2" body lift.
that should keep you in the 200.00 or less range. if truly broke then wait, lifting causes two things, you want more and things get broken when using your newly lifted ride on the trails.

double post

By broke I don't have money to go out and by brand new everything. The rough country is like 400 but if I could get the same lift for less it would allow me to save for other things. If I get the brackets will I need to replace my control arms as well?
