Any tips for lining rear axle on leafs?

I just put new shocks and leaf springs on my 2000 4 door LS blazer, also added new shackels that are 2 inch lift. I was having a pretty bad sag issue, with sad face leaf springs. Bought brand new springs. The problem I am having is lining the nub on the leaf pack to the hole on the mount (ubolts and shock mount peice.) Granted I blew my seal on my jack, so I need to get another jack, and perhaps by jacking up the spring a little will help.

Any advice on helping to line up the axle and the spring would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I was lucky my neighbor had tools he was willing to let me use. Took 20 minutes to removed both siezed bolts, and remove shocks. The sad part is, now I am stuck on finishing putting it together.

i would just have someone jack it up, guide it into place. if they arent lined up perfectly, like the springs are out to the sides or whatever, jack it up so theres just a little bit of pressure on the springs and use a hammer to tape the springs over or the axle forward and backwards

also make sure holes that the spring bolt goes into isnt all rotted. sometimes you have to clean them out a bit

Thanks, That is what I figured. I just replaced the rear axle like 2 months ago, I remember having a little issue with it, but not much. Right now, on jack stands and a broken jack, I cant pressure the springs up at all, and the axle isn't even touching the springs... I am borrowing my father in laws Jack today to get her done... probably only take a few minutes with the jack.

It is done. The jack was about all I needed to line it up. When my brother in law and I stood on the old leaf springs, it basically went flat. They were dead. The old shocks, I was able to compress by hand. One shock stayed that was. Just compressed. Tomorrow I am test driving (with trailer heading to lowes to buy a freezer.) I can't wait to see how much better it works now.
