Body Lift Rear Bumper Cutting

I've been reading over the instructions on the PA body lift I got and it shows having to cut a couple spots on the rear bumper and I was wondering if anyone had pictures of where they cut the bumper. The pictures in the instructions look like they were taken with a potato so I think I know where they need to be cut but I'm just making sure. Thanks!

i never raised my bumpers when i did mine, so i am curious as well.

I used the BDS kit and didn't have to cut my bumper at all? I wonder why you have to cut it with the PA kit?

I think is has to do with the frame but I'm not sure.

I did the PA body lift but I never took pictures. You will understand the picture a little better once you get the bumper removed. It must be cut to clear the frame ends with the lift brackets. I wish I took pictures.

Thanks max, anyone else? I know more people than this have done a body lift.

Yeah, it's a slight trim to clear the frame. Don't think it took very long. I don't have any pictures though.

Alright, new question. I got a simple air powered cut off tool at walmart. You think it will be strong enough to make the cuts? I don't know how thick the metal is but the tool says it can cut through 1/2 inch angle iron.

You should be fine. I used a cheap Harbor Freight cut off tool for mine before picking up the Dewalt. It may just take a little more time. The material to cut is maybe about 1/8" thick. It's sort of a tubular looking portion to the rear bumper on the inner sides of where the bumper mount bolts to.

I used my angle grinder. Air tool should work, depending how good your air supply is.
