Body Lift, yes or no?

Well been stuck for the last month on if i should invest in a body lift or not. Would like the extra tire clearance for some wheels so i dont have to trim the fenders but really dont need the lift. Just wanted to see what everyone else thinks, should i go with the lift or spend the money on other exterior parts i want?

I just recently did a 2 inch PA body lift on my 96 s10 4 door. Wasn't a tough job and I am now able to fit 31s no problem. If you're looking for more look than performance I'd say do the body lift. I just ordered a RC 2.5 inch kit will be installing shortly.

What will you do about the back bumper? If you are looking for a better performing vehicle in terms of gas milage acceleration and cornering. Id say nix the lift. Bigger tires hint at bigger brakes and a little lower gearing.

I've never been a huge fan of body lifts, myself. You gain room for bigger tires, I guess, but no ground clearance. (Other than that from the tires.) just get out the sawzall and start the surgery! You'll have plenty of room for tires, then!

You can effectively trim your fenders and then invest in a new set of fender flares to make it look professional and give it a rugged look.

You should buy the fender flares first... so you can use them as a template. lol

btw if you'd like to see what it would look like trimmed with flares I'd love to take on the task. Its not something that I've done yet!
