Custom Lift

Hello all I'm making a 3 inch lift kit for my 4 door 4 wheel drive blazer.
I like the looks of the 2.5 rough county lift kit so that's what I'm drawing inspiration from. Right now I have 2-3 inch shackles and t-bar keys (t-bar keys not installed) from a no name brand on amazon. I figured that they would all probably be the same so I didn't go with a name brand. Then I also have a set of AC Delco coil spring shocks for the rear of the truck. I need more lift in the front end, the 2 inch t-bar crank is just not cutting it and I want something less stressful on the cv axils and ball joints. So what am I missing? There is so much information out there it's hard to absorb it all. Should I get new A-arms? Will the keys do any good? Any info would be fantastic! Thanks in advance!

new keys are useless, stock ones do the same thing. Also cranking them will wear out oyur balljoints, hubs , and axles very fast. What are you missing. The rough country lift has drop btrackets for the transsaxle and different upper control arms that help with balljoint angle. Thats pretty much the only way you can do it. Lots of others have tried doing it the way you are and failed big time.

Sounds like I should invest in the rough county lift then seeing as it already has everything I want. I haven't spent much money on what I have now so it's no big deal. It looks like the 2.5 RC lift comes with new keys, should I bother installing them or will they do nothing just like any other lift key?

If you get the kit you may as well. New stuff never hurts

Makes since. Thank you for the helpful info. I'm glad to get input from a BF vet.
