Front diff question

Hey guys I have a 97 gmc jimmy 4 door 4x4 and I really want to lift it for some bigger tires and so it doesn't look like a baby..I'm use to full size truck with lifts so I feel really low! So..from what I have SEARCHED here on the forum is that anything over the RC 2.5 suspension you will destroy your cv shafts, I would like a to have like 31-32 inch tires. I do a lot of hwy driving but also a lot of gravel roads. Not so much wheeling but I will be from time to time. What's your guys thoughts and suggestions on not having to replace the front end all the time?

Also what can I do to make my front diff and cv shafts not break if I got a 5 or 6 inch lift? With out SAS

The problems start if/when front chassis ride height is out of spec. A body lift can cause it to change slightly due to weight transfer, so it's best to check and adjust it if necessary when the lift is complete. When you're all done, have the front end aligned and you should be good to go.
