hockey puck lift kit???

Now I know that this may not be by the book but has any one looked into or helped a buddy out or even done one on their own rig. If you dont know what im talking about here it is you take hockey pucks two per body mount scuff them up glue them together drill a hole through them buy longer bolts and install them as a 2 inch body lift. I have not done this but seen it on youtube and got 16 pucks laying around from a buddy of mine seems a lot cheaper than what you can get online let me know what you guys think SAFETY FIRST

From what i have read its not safe...the pucks dry up and breakdown...body lift kit is 200-250.
I think that is worth the piece of mind and safety alone. Besides there are 12 mount points on a four door (what i have) so given 24 pucks...bolts and odds and ends...what would you save?
is it really worth the risk?

x2 it's not safe, and around here it is even illegal. I think you can buy just the blocks for like $2 ea or something if you wanted to source the rest of it on your own.

X3 & NO NO NO NO .... if it's a jerry rigged/gerry rigged off highway vehicle, made for messing around & getting beaten up all the time - go for it!
But for a daily driver, IMO you should get the proper BL kit to lift it.
It will include (or should) the gas filler extension, longer bolts for the lower fan shroud & spacers/sleeves for them as well & other things to make life in the blazer easier.

dont be cheap, be safe. there are other ppl on the road that dont need a rig falling apart and hurting them cause u wanna save a buck. do it rite the first time and save urself a lot of headache in the future. and think about it, ul have to glue and wait for it to set, drill holes thru hard ass rubber, then find the rite hardware, then install. buy a bl, everything u need is there......just buy and install. no looking or wondering if u have everything. do it rite man......:)

First step of a hockey puck lift is to remove the tags from the truck and burn them.

Sports equipment is not to be hardware for body mounts, I wouldn't even recommend it to someone I want to see get hurt. Maby as a goofy shifter knob, but not something that is part of structure
