OPINIONS Please :)

Ok so the other day i did a body lift. As as you guys know the frame is really exposed when you do this. So i am debating whether out not to put the running boards back on. Here's where you come in. I put the passenger side back on, and took a picture with both sides. Take a look and tell me what you think.

I personally like it without.

nineTnine 08-15-2011 06:09 PM

I would say without. Bigger tires look like a must

thats what i hate about body lifts but i like with out running boards

warthogdriver 08-15-2011 07:45 PM

i would have to agree....without looks much better.
if you went for a lift then why keep something that will limit clearance?
if you really need them there for you own liking....maybe a step or rockslider in its place.
would compliment the lifted look better then the runners.

Not to disappoint everyone but i put them back on.
Mainly because I'm going back to school in a week so no more truck projects or time spent in the woods. So since its just going to be sitting in a parking lot, why not put them back on and have my parents stop complaining that parts of my car are filling up the driveway (brush guard, running boards, skid plates, and other various things). Sorry guys.

In my opinion if you going to do a running board do a tube style. the "Factory molded" takes away from the effect of lift IMO so I would go black tube running board...

I don't like the looks of the molded one, but it is very effective at helping a body lift look better. It hides the frame while still giving you more tire clearance... and since tire clearance is the main point of a body lift, it still works.

Tube type or with out.... Craigslist those old ones!
