Problem Leveling Suspension after 2.5" RC Lift Kit - 89 S10 Blazer 4x4
Hey guys, I'm having a problem with my torsion bar adjustment and wanted to see if someone might be able to help. My front end is over 1" higher than the rear, but I cannot go any lower up front. The t-bar bolts are just tightened enough to engage the key, but it's still much higher than the rear. I'm also having an issue with the CV boots rubbing on the shocks, and after calling Rough Country to ask what the issue may be, they told me I probably have the front lifted too high. I can't go any lower to get to where my car is level and my CV boots don't rub.
Could I have work/sagging torsion bars? I assume that if that's the problem, I would have the opposite symptoms, and my front end would be too low, but I don't know what typically happens when they go bad (This is my first time doing work on a suspension with torsion bars so I don't know what to look for in replacing them). The new torsion keys that came with the kit are installed, my only other thought is that I could rotate the keys on the torsion bars 1/6 rotation (since they have a hex shaped hole), but I am pretty positive that they are supposed to mate up easily. Thanks for reading!
